Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has immediate openings for Industrial Machinery Mechanical Technicians at its Cryo Machinery facility in Fogelsville, PA. The successful candidates should have experience in industrial equipment manufacture and repair with an emphasis on compressors and turbines. Recent technical school graduates who have completed a mechanical technology or diesel/automotive engine technology course of study will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly, troubleshooting, fitting, adjustment, testing, reconditioning and repair of parts and components
- Close tolerance machine assembly
- Use of precision measuring tools and equipment
- Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform installation and repair work.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED
- Associates degree or related courses in a technical/mechanical field is preferred
- Application of shop mathematics and computer/PC knowledge is required
- Experience in machining (turning and milling) and machine parts inspection is a plus
- Ability to read, interpret, and work with complex part and assembly drawings and manuals
- Ability to travel (10-30%)
