COMPLIANCE / AUDIT MANAGER-CREDIT UNION

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a COMPLIANCE/AUDIT MANAGER-CREDIT UNION at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure credit union operating policies, procedures, processes, training programs, member communication, and objectives and goals support credit union and sponsor policies, practices, objectives, and are in compliance with regulatory agencies and laws.

2. Research, plan, organize and conduct training programs to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

3. Maintain awareness of current issues relating to credit union operations, industry trends and regulations.

4. Assist credit union staff by answering audit or compliance related questions, solving problems and helping with other associated work related matters.

5. Develop a comprehensive audit plan and schedule, based on risk assessment, and prepare findings reports for the credit union senior management team.

6. Review financial data and supporting reports regarding assets, net worth, liabilities, income and expenditures to determine the reliability and integrity of such data.

7. Maintain audit work-papers to substantiate the audit work performed and the material facts supporting any reported conclusions.

8. Participate with other credit union departments in the investigation and resolution of external fraud. Partner with credit union CEO, CFO or COO in the investigation of internal fraud.

9. Ensure that all information and transactions involving non-public information is kept confidential and adhere to all applicable credit union or employment policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
1. Three (3) to five (5) years of financial institution experience in the area of accounting or auditing.
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, compliance or related field.
3. A master’s degree, CFSA or CFE designation is a plus.
4. Working knowledge of credit union investments, balance sheet risk management and cash management.
5. Knowledge of the Federal Credit Union Act, bylaws and regulations of federally chartered credit unions.
6. Proficient in reading, analyzing and interpreting credit union laws, rules and regulations.
7. Capability to collect, analyze and interpret financial data.
8. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing activities.
9. Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics simply in both a group and individual setting.
10. Self-starter who works equally well independently or as part of a team.
11. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with credit union staff and volunteers.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stand-up speaking skills.
13. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
