PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Gardner Cryogenics, a division of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., and a leading manufacturer of cryogenic containers for transport and storage of liquid helium and hydrogen, has an immediate opening for an Production Supervisor at its rehab facility in Whitehall, PA, responsible for leading, planning and performance of the evening shift.

THIS POSITION IS AN EVENING SHIFT POSITION - 2:00 pm - 10:45 pm.

The incumbent will provide first line supervision for a group of 13 to 16 employees engaged in direct and indirect labor activities to support the rehab and repair of cryogenic containers in accordance with the appropriate code, regulations, and customer specifications.

The WCR Supervisor shares responsibility for the safety, health and welfare of all employees, as well as, the responsibility to produce the highest quality service while meeting budget and schedule constraints.
The incumbent should possess a working knowledge of helium ISO containers, blueprint reading/interpretation, policies and practices as they apply to safety, shop trades/crafts, quality principles, and continuous improvement. This individual should be able to perform with minimum direction from upper management. He/she should be able to provide contingency planning and improvisation when required in order to direct the efforts of the work force toward established goals. The incumbent will be responsible to initiate actions and procedures to insure that daily activities at Gardner Cryogenics are consistent with the procedures laid out in the quality assurance, and quality control documentation.

•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
•Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions

While performing the duties of this job, the Production Supervisor is required to use a computer. Good knowledge of PC operations and software (Word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation material and instructional design) are required, as well as the ability to test certify in appropriate SAP roles.
