Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a PROJECT SPECIALIST at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
The Project Specialist position is available in the Microbulk segment of GO Customer Engineering to support the current expansion.
As an overview, Microbulk initiatives provide the following: benefit of bulk supply for customer using cylinder/dewar volumes, the small tank trucks allow flexible delivery access, the customer is billed only for product delivered and measured by the accurate metering system on the Microbulk truck. These are just a few of the components driving the business.
Responsibilities:
- Review scope based on Sales input and customer interview, as needed
- Open projects in project management, project software, Vantage and manage projects using this tool
- Create project package and order materials for Microbulk installations
- Support troubleshooting requirements at customer sites, as required
- Use existing vendors or internal construction technicians to enable installations
- Coordinate installation activities among various internal / external groups
- Track and manage costs / schedules using SAP tools.
Qualifications /Skills:
- Independent, motivated individual, able to multitask above responsibilities, flexible
- 2-5 years experience with mechanical or project work
- Familiarity with gaseous / cryogenic systems
- Excellent communications; written, oral, computer tools.
