Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician (I&E) at its Prism Membranes facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
Responsibilities for this position are to: - Procure, install and troubleshoot a variety of electrical equipment - Calibrate manufacturing instrumentation according to procedures - Perform routine PMs on manufacturing and building equipment - Troubleshoot PLC equipment - Plan and layout larger electrical projects - Assist other maintenance techs with assigned tasks - Complete instrument tracking documentation - Complete required safety tasks and activities - Develop procedures for instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks - Support facility operations by completing assigned work orders
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - Accredited trade school diploma or certificate is required - 10 years of industrial experience working on instrumentation and electrical equipment - Applicable military training will be considered equivalent to industrial experience - Strong mechanical skills - Proficient communication and computer skills - Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and flexibility in job assignments - Ability and initiative to complete job assignments in a timely manner - Follow safe work practices, NEC guidelines, and standard operating procedures - Must be available for occasional night shift and weekend call-ins - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders - Able to work in a team environment
