Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Account Manager for the Southern California Area and is based out of our Fountain Valley, CA facility.
This is an office-based sales position responsible for selling bulk industrial gas products to industrial and manufacturing related customers and markets.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary position responsibilities includes a strong emphasis on securing new business, providing account management to an existing customer base and achieving sales and profit growth in the assigned territory. Territory coverage includes Orange County and parts of the Inland Empire.
Sales responsibilities include leading all facets of the sales process from prospecting, preparing, and presenting proposals to contract and pricing negotiations needed to secure new business.
Responsibilities also include ensuring customer retention through an enhanced relationship focused on a proactive account management approach resulting in flawless operation and execution.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of highly successful sales experience to an industrial or manufacturing customer base
* Proficient computer skills
