Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an EXPERIENCED WELDER at its Hometown (Tamaqua), Pennsylvania facility.
Applicants must be skilled in the following:
• SMAW, GMAW, GTAW on Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Monel in all positions on plate and pipe
• Burning/cutting (oxy-acetylene, air-arc, and plasma)
• Soldering/brazing (soft and silver)
• Pipefitting, layout and assembly skills required
• Knowledge of NDT methods
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 3-5 years previous welding experience required
- Must be able to demonstrate welding competency in a pre-employment weld test
- Must be willing to work afternoon and midnight shifts
- Able to work around chemicals and in confined spaces
- Able to operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Basic computer skills
