MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for its Wichita, KS facility.

The maintenance engineer will be responsible for reviewing and managing Preventive Maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, repair, support of new project commissioning, improving machinery equipment reliability, and modification of maintenance equipment.

This position reports to the Site Maintenance Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

Assist in administering plant maintenance resources to meet and exceed all safety, health and environmental regulations, and corporate group requirements.

Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.

Assist in achieving compliance with all procedures i.e. SAP compliance, ISO compliance, MI compliance, safety BSP, standards, EMOC compliance, underground pipeline compliance, specification, codes, federal and statutory requirements and drive maintenance KPIs.

Integral part in promoting an atmosphere of team spirit through good example, open communication, good listening and timely problem resolutions via team work and engagement with functional engineers/specialist.

Assist in implementing best practices, change management, ISO plant maintenance quality and standardization of routine maintenance systems and work processes across the plants in the area of responsibility

Assist in managing and delivering plant equipment reliability KPIs.

Provide hands-on technical skills during troubleshooting and supporting all related maintenance work or supporting work responsible.

Be familiar with all equipment in plants, maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance equipment, equipment history, integrity and equipment database.

Assist in ensuring the execution of preventive/predictive/ and integrity maintenance programs that reduces unplanned shutdowns and ultimately enhances overall plants reliability/ profitability and product quality.

Assist in managing contractor safety KPIs to deliver required safe working condition.

Assist in preparing and administering the annual maintenance routine and major maintenance budgets for the areas of responsibility via SAP work processes

Assist /manage planned annual shutdown equipment preparedness.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3 to 5 Years Industrial Experience a plus
- Possess strong leadership qualities and analytical skills.
