Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Gas and Chemical Manager for its Tualatin, OR facility.
The Facilities Gas and Chemical Manager (MegaSys Manager) supports the Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., on-site services at a customer site in Tualatin, OR and San Jose, CA. The Manager must plan, organize, motivate, and control the operations of a team to safely and economically support the customer by being an integral part of the customer’s process/operations. The scope of work involves supplying hazardous production materials (gas or liquid) in order to manufacture semiconductor wafers.
MegaSys is responsible for the logistics of the hazardous production materials, maintenance and troubleshooting of the delivery equipment and product delivery characteristics (flow, pressure, quality). There are four technicians in Tualatin and three technicians in San Jose. MegaSys provides 24x7 coverage. The Manager is based in Portland, Oregon. Travel is approximately 25%.
The manager must focus on safety, cost effectiveness, emergency preparedness, facility systems uptime/quality and daily customer interface. Must provide high level of technical support and training related to onsite gas and chemical systems. Administrative duties include but are not limited to time card approval, weekly reporting, training, site level MOC review/approval, safety permitting review/approval, in-house audits, quality system management and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
-10 years experience with gas and/or chemical systems in an ultra high purity operation -Associates degree or other formal training in electronics, engineering, or gas/chemical environment. A Bachelors degree is preferred. -Strong technical aptitude -Strong leadership skills -Excellent communication skills -Possess analytical troubleshooting skills -MS Office proficiency
