Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a .NET TECHNICAL SOLUTION ARCHITEC at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This position is responsible for implementing application solutions within the Enterprise Microsoft Technical Solution area. The incumbent will report to a Team Lead in the Technical Solutions organization and will create solutions for a wide range of challenging Enterprise Application projects. They will be responsible for technical design, application analysis, researching new technologies and developing new solutions within the team.
Responsibilities:
• Implement Enterprise Application solutions
• Extend, promote and support existing Application architectures
• Participate in the implementation phases of the project process; Share responsibility for leading and coordinating the technical tasks on these projects
• Learn, help design and implement cross business process solutions
• Coach and provide assistance to developers and other colleagues in Application Solutions & Delivery; Facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge across the Global IT technical community
Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant Information Technology curriculum or in a related technical discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering or Science) with 8+ years working in the Information Technology field
- A minimum of 5 years developing solutions with Microsoft technologies is required
- The ideal candidate will have a strong, broad knowledge of application architecture, development, design, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills are required
- Development experience with Microsoft’s .NET Framework and Visual Studio IDE, using C# as the development language
- Knowledge and experience in applying object-oriented design and implementation
- Ability to apply frameworks and standards and work constructively within a development team
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities and competing demands
- General experience with XML and schemas (DTD, XSD); XML programming
- Experience with BizTalk 2006\2010 or SharePoint 2007\2010 a plus.
