Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a SR PRINCIPAL PROJECT ENGINEER at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This individual’s primary responsibility will be to manage the execution of small fast track retrofit projects in plants operated by Global Operations. Responsibility includes all phases of work including cost estimating, equipment procurement, engineering, design, construction and commissioning. The projects involve a high level of integration with existing plant operations and lend themselves to a "hands on" style, working in the field to resolve problems. There may be times when larger global or fleetwide projects will also be managed. The job will require about 35% travel.
Qualifications/Skills:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not a requirement
- 5-15 years experience
- Experience in instruments and controls specification and installation is required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Aggressive, willing to take on repsonsibility and challenges, to learn and grow.
