Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech Welder for its New Orleans, LA facility.
Job Duties:
Welding for GTAW & SMAW in carbon and stainless steel. Certify AP procedures per ASME code. Extensive travel to surrounding locations Domestically and Internationally when welding services are needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-5-7 years experience required in welding processes for GTAW & SMAW in carbon and stainless steels
-Experience in GTAW & GMAW for aluminum a plus
-Pipefitting and blueprint reading experience required
-Mechanical ability and willingness to learn about rotating machinery
-Ability to travel 70%-80% Domestically & Internationally with short notice
-Ability to work extended hours up to 12 hours/day
-Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
-Able to certify to AP procedures per ASME code
-Must be team player
-Self starter
