Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has a Vehicle Maintenance Internship for the Spring semester at our LaPorte, TX facility.
Vehicle Maintenance Interns are responsible for learning how to perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on over-the-road Class 8 tractors and trailers.
During your assignment, you will be exposed to many Maintenance related activities at the terminal, including:
* Performing cryogenic maintenance to include repairing/replacing valves, pumps, etc.
* Calibrating pump discharge meters
* Loading trailers
* Performing electronic/electrical repairs on tractors and trailers
* Documenting/recording work performed electronically on computer based maintenance system
This paid, on-the-job-training, temporary assignment opportunity is to provide the Automotive/Diesel Tech Student with an introduction to Industrial Vehicle Maintenance and improving their future employability after graduation from the program.
Air Products will provide all tools, uniforms, and safety equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Interested applicants should be currently enrolled in an accredited Automotive or Diesel Tech program pursuing a Technical Diploma, Associates Degree, or Certificate and be in his/her last semester of study. Candidates with SkillsUSA membership and the ability to demonstrate Employability and Leadership competencies are strongly encouraged to apply.
