Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a MARKET SPECIALIST – METALS INDUSTRY based at the corporate offices located in Allentown, PA, who will be responsible for helping drive long-term, sustainable revenue and earnings growth for Air Products from the global steel and non-ferrous market segments by successfully executing focused marketing programs and business processes. This position is an excellent opportunity to work closely with our business development team across geographies and businesses.
The Market Specialist responsibilities include 1) analyzing industry data and provide insightful marketing reports on the steel and non-ferrous industries outlook, 2) identifying and qualifying short and long-term business opportunities, 3) supporting new offering development and investment decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have technical degree and a minimum of 2 years of direct primary metals industry experience
- Self starter with strong work ethic, ability to work across global cultures, outgoing nature and team player
- Business degree, commercial experience, industrial gas business experience, or a metals industry contact base are a plus.
This position will be located in Trexlertown, however to execute the role properly will require moderate travel, probably requiring 15% time commitment. High performing individuals will be strong candidates for commercial assignments in our succession planning.
