Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, and a leading global supplier of electronics materials, hydrogen, helium and select performance chemicals, has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Maintenance and Service Technician in the Ashland, KY area.
The successful candidate will be responsible to provide necessary technical and hands-on support to maintain and troubleshoot Air Products supply systems located at our customer sites.
The candidate must be self-motivated, safety conscious, a good communicator and possess good electrical troubleshooting and mechanical skills. The position also requires after hours availability 7 days/week to respond to various types of service situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years previous electrical maintenance and mechanical experience in a plant maintenance environment, or a high school diploma followed by technical school or apprenticeship training, or military experience relating to electrical/mechanical maintenance.
Applicants must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment using the appropriate tools and test equipment. A background in maintaining electronic controls, pneumatic systems, pumps, pressure vessels, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors is preferred.
