Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Plant Process Engineer at its Performance Materials Plant located in Milton, Wisconsin.
The Performance Materials Plant Process Engineering team within Global Operations has a position available for a creative and versatile individual with a desire to make significant contributions to the profitability of the fast-growing Performance Materials Division (PMD). The successful candidate will be based in Milton, WI and function as the Plant Process Engineering Site Lead for our production facility there. Support of other PMD production facilities across the United States, as well as in Europe and Asia may be required in the longer term.
Candidates should have solid technical and interpersonal skills and a strong interest in applying these to a broad range of engineering challenges. The successful individual would interact closely with plant personnel, as well as with colleagues from Technology, Global Engineering, and Asset Management.
Key job responsibilities of a PMD Plant Process Engineer are to:
- Identify, develop, and drive productivity improvement and cost-reduction projects - Provide Process engineering and technical support to plant operations including troubleshooting support as issues arise - Ensure the successful introduction of new Performance Materials products and technologies - Produce process scope documents for capital projects and provide technical and start-up support to the Project Engineering function - Support activities relating to OPHR, eMOC, and technical risk management - Develop and maintain a global network of relationships within and outside of PMD to ensure the adoption of best practices and cost-effective solutions
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum requirements are a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and 7 years of relevant work experience. Beneficial work experiences include support of optimization and productivity initiatives within Operations, CI/Sigma training, and Process engineering design experience. We will provide the successful candidate with the training and development that he/she will need to thrive in this role.
