Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a SENIOR PIPING DESIGNER at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
The Senior Piping Designer will be responsible for the piping design of a variety of industrial and chemical process type facilities. Individual must have current design experience in process piping design and have the ability to utilize a P & ID to develop a constructible and cost effective 3D model and piping isometric design drawings. Individual must have a working knowledge of valves, in-line devices and typical support details. Individual will gather information from all sources required, including other disciplines, vendors, engineers, reference drawings and catalogs to produce complete functional and constructible design packages. Individual must have good interpersonal and communication skills
Specific skill requirements -
All Piping design work will be done in the PDS software. Use of Microstation software also integral with design responsibilities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly Excel is also a plus. Piping Designers with cryogenic design experience is a PLUS!
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years experience
Technical Associate's degree is a plus
