Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a DESIGN ENGINEER at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for design and analysis of foundations and structures required for facilities designed by the Plant Design Group. Facilities cover a range of a wide range of industrial type applications including Air Separation Units, Hydrocarbon Processing, LNG and Specialty Gas. The position will focus on the structural engineering aspect of cryogenic enclosures however other typical assignments include process related structures, pipe racks, compressor and other major equipment foundation engineering. Additional requirements include working knowledge of pertinent building and design codes, geotechnical considerations and deep foundation systems. Incumbent will work as part of a large team in accomplishing these tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills are necessary. Ability to proactively interface with other design and engineering disciplines is critical.
Qualifications:
* B.S Civil/Structural Engineering required.
* 1 to 5 years experience with a professional engineers license in progress is beneficial.
