Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Account Manager for its Midlothian, TX ( Dallas ) air separation facility.
This position is responsible for selling bulk industrial gas products (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium and hydrogen) to electronics, industrial and manufacturing related customers and markets.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary position responsibilities include securing new business, providing account management to an existing customer base and achieving sales and profit growth in the assigned territory.
Territory coverage is North, Central and East Texas.
Sales responsibilities include leading all facets of the sales process from prospecting, preparing, and presenting proposals to contract and pricing negotiations needed to secure new business.
Responsibilities also include ensuring customer retention through an enhanced relationship focused on proactive account management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 - 10 years of experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A technical background or aptitude; technical undergrad could be an asset.
• Highly motivated, ability to work and prioritize independently.
• Ability communicate and work with eternal customers.
• Ability to work cross functionally inside of APCI.

• Organization and negotiation skills
• Product-line and industry knowledge (refinery, chemical)
