Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a PROCESS CONTROLS ENGINEER at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This position is for a lead process controls engineer on Generated Gases gas delivery, generation, and PRISM product development. These include a variety of project types that include generation and delivery systems for flammable, high pressure, high purity PSA and VSA projects, air separation, and water treatment.
Responsibilities for this position including leading and executing:
• The development of project control strategies, objectives, estimates, and schedules
• Contributor in operability and hazard reviews
• Specify controls inline devices & measurement equipment
• Approve specifications of other Controls Engineers
• Specify and program regulatory control systems, HMI’s, and Life Safety Systems
• Develop SIL assessments with fault tree analysis
• Perform plant commissioning
• Provide startup support
• Developing and leading project execution.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years of applicable work experience with process automation, instrumentation, & controls
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley Control Logix, Siemens, and GE platforms is desired
- Must be able to demonstrate technical competence, leadership skills, communicate effectively, be a strong team player, and solution oriented.
