Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a one year Industrial Postdoctoral Fellow within our Performance Materials Division, Product Research Group at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Postdoctoral Fellowship may be extended for a 2nd year subject to project and performance review.
The suitable candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or appropriate discipline. The emphasis of this position will be product development of polyurethane additives. The candidate will develop structure/property relationships for polyurethane additives focusing on additives synthesis and property studies of finished polyurethane products. The candidate will be part of a team consisting of application chemists, engineers and scientists that are experts in processing, characterization and testing of polyurethane additives. The successful candidate should be highly motivated, dynamic and creative with a solid understanding of chemistry fundamentals, excellent problem solving skills and experience in chemical synthesis.
