Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a SR IT FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
We are seeking a full time candidate to fill a Sr IT Functional Specialist position on the Sell/Fulfill Applications Solutions Team. The position will be asked to play several key roles related to IT project life-cycle including:
• SD SAP Configuration Specialist
• Solutions Analyst
• Project Manager Affiliate
This position is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis and functional design of new solutions. A critical component of this role is to effectively work with the Air Products business area, Application Development Team and other Applications Solutions teams so that new/enhanced functionality and application changes can be implemented effectively.
Another key responsibility of this position will be to provide in-depth knowledge of the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module and have responsibility for detailed configuration design and consulting.
This role will get administrative and functional direction from the SD Order Management Lead. The incumbent will work closely with many other areas across Global IT. Details on role responsibilities follow.
SAP Configuration Specialist role responsibilities:
• Ability to perform configuration analysis across full SAP SD suite of functionality (Order Management, Billing, Pricing, Customer Master…).
• Ability to resolve complex business requirements via SAP configured solutions.
• Consult as needed with other Solutions team members on configuration design questions and analysis.
Solutions Analyst role responsibilities:
• Participate in all project stages with accountability for eliciting, validating, and documenting business requirements which ensure “value-add” to the client.
• Assist with estimates for project stages.
• Responsibility for final delivered solution meeting the customer’s business requirements.
• May be asked to lead and coach multiple Solutions Analysts on larger projects
Project Manager Affiliate role responsibilities:
• Set Project Coordination Norms
• Define and document the Execution Approach
• Coordinate the establishment and approval of Project Objective, Scope, Risks, Timeline and manage within approved limits
• Ensure all Manage Individual Projects (MIP) deliverables are met
• Track, raise and resolve all issues including approval of all project scope, timing issues
• Monitor, report and forecast all project spending including resources
• Complete all funding, capitalization, and closing tasks as per required processes and project specifics.
Qualifications:
This position requires strong knowledge and skills in the following areas:
• 7+ years SAP SD design, configuration and implementation experience
• Demonstrated experience with SD related business activities including customer management, pricing, contracts, order management, shipping, billing, GTS, etc.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to lead high-profile workshops
• Working knowledge of the integration points with other SAP modules(FI/CO, MM/PP)
• Project Management experience a plus
• SAP CRM experience a plus
• Vendavo Pricing Software experience a plus
• Technical degree (Engineering, IT related) is preferred.
