Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Senior Plant Engineer for its Carlsbad, CA facility.
Requires strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
This position requires direct supervision and training of workers in the field under all work conditions. Must be willing and able to work in an environment where hazardous chemicals are used.
Job functions:
Perform Process Engineering and Maintenance function of an ultra-high purity chemical purification and packaging facility. Includes project-driven supervision of Maintenance staff, and contractors. Ensure that facility and all operating functions (equipment, utilities, instruments) are maintained in a manner that meets regulatory/safety/quality requirements while supporting production demands.
Responsibilities include:
• Implement/maintain Maintenance Excellence programs such as:
• Maintenance Planning Systems (plan, organize, control)
• Maintenance Reliability Systems (preventive/predictive systems)
• Maintenance Efficiency Systems
• Maintenance Safety Systems
• Maintain and improve Plant Mechanical Integrity system
• Develop/oversee installation of capital projects
• Establish/maintain the Preventive Maintenance program
Qualifications/Requirements:
-BS/MS in mechanical or chemical engineering with a strong mechanical orientation.
-8-10 years experience in trouble-shooting utility systems and be familiar with cleanroom operations.
-Chemical processing experience is also a desired dimension.
