Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking experienced Operations Techs for its New Orleans, LA facility.
Position Description:
-Responsibilities include controlling and monitoring a number of processes at the New Orleans site.
-Including but not limited to, the production of gaseous hydrogen using SMR technology, liquid hydrogen
-Production using N2/H2 refrigeration cycle and the production of nitrogen, oxygen and argon using cryogenic air separation technology and the production of liquid CO2.
* Fully participate in Safety process at the plant
* Interact with staff personnel to maintain operation of plant
* Follow production procedures
* Provide troubleshooting expertise for the production units
Qualifications/Requirements:
* High School Diploma/GED
* Degree in Process Technology is preferred but not required
* Strong mechanical aptitude required
* Solid scholastic background and previous work and/or military record
* Must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends
* Team player that is flexible with good communication skills
* A strong commitment to Safety
