Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking a skilled Recruiter to support the staffing function for North American Field Operations for our West Coast locations. The position is expected to be located at Air Products Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA. However, we will also consider candidates residing near our other large operating locations in Houston, TX and Fountain Valley, CA (Southern California).

The Field Recruiter position is responsible for the following:

- The overall staffing process for field recruiting includes ensuring a ready group of qualified candidates for positions such as operators, drivers, mechanics, Megasys technicians, and maintenance technicians throughout assigned geographical territory in North America.

- Developing sourcing strategies and innovative recruitment methodologies such as internet searching, database mining, participating in and networking with organizations/associations, attending/organizing career fairs, working with agency/military placement firms, developing referral bonus programs, etc.

- Developing process improvements and increasing applicant generation in order to meet or exceed staffing metrics such as time-to-fill.

- Screening candidates thoroughly including phone interviews.

- Working with recruiter administrative assistants in scheduling interviews, reviewing background and drug screening results, preparing offers and new hire paperwork.

- Advising and coaching managers on the development of job requirements/postings, advertisement options, and on the staffing process and responsibilities.

- Collaborating with Field HR Managers and Hiring Managers.

- Maintaining applicant tracking system for assigned positions.

- Potential domestic travel is 40%.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in human resources, preferably in recruiting for hourly, non-exempt positions.
- Passion for and experience with identifying and screening quality candidates.
- Highly proficient in sourcing on the Internet. AIRS experience highly preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable regarding EEOC guidelines with demonstrated understanding of applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Active cultivation and participation in a positive, teamwork environment.
- Ability to deliver results with little supervision, and to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates.
