Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst at our APCI Federal Credit Union located at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania
This position is responsible for the daily credit union accounting analysis, reconcilements and reporting. This position processes all credit union payables.
The job functions include but are not limited to:
1. Analyze, reconcile and report on the general ledger accounts, ATM terminals, PSCU settlement recap sheet, MasterCard settlement, daily reports, Wachovia and Mid-Atlantic entries, and check register on a daily basis.
2. Initiate and approve domestic and international wire transfers in addition to form administration, repetitive wire set up and maintenance, as well as missing wire research.
3. Administer the accounts payable function.
4. Perform the general ledger entries for charge off and disputed transactions.
5. Audit the hot card and cards not activated reports.
6. Update the financial on line TriTots Report for credit union Senior Management which includes share, certificate and loan balances.
7. Perform the daily transfer of PSCU file reports between Aftech and PSCU databases.
8. Back-up to process payroll reconciliation.
9. Provide main backup support for the Controller duties mainly concentrating on the financial monthly close.
10. Provide backup support for the ACH and Share Draft processes.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting competencies
2) Three to five years accounting experience minimum
3) Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
4) Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
5) Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
6) Self starter, creative thinker and problem solver
7) Computer skills to include Excel and Word
8) Credit union or financial institution work experience is a plus
9) Knowledge of OFAC rules and regulations is a plus
10) Knowledge and understanding of the 'Aftech' System is a plus
Current work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
