Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Account Manager for its Houston, TX facility.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting the sales efforts in Houston area within North American Gases with a focus on the Chemical and Petro Chemical market, along with Food, and Metals Processing. Position will be based in the Houston Sales office. Includes maintaining existing business, identifying, prospecting and generating new business. Major product lines include Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Non-Cryo on site technology and a strong focus on selling temporary Nitrogen Services.
More specifically: - Achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives for the sales territory. - Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for the major customers in the territory. - Forecast and budget results. - Negotiate new / renewal contracts. - Manage activities between Inside Sales and Focused Accounts for customers in the region. - Communicate to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction, utilizing latest tools such as SAP, Salesforce.com.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: - 3 - 10 years of experience; Bachelor's degree. - Technical undergrad could be an asset.
Critical skill sets: - Selling/closing/influence/persuasion skills - Customer relationship management skills - Organization and negotiation skills - Product-line and industry knowledge (Refinery, chemical)
