Based at our Port Arthur, LaPort, Pasadena, or Baytown facilities, our Maintenance Mechanic Technician Interns are responsible for learning how to support to continuously improve plant equipment integrity, reliability, and cost.
During your 140 hour assignment, you will be exposed to many Maintenance related activities at the plant, including:
* Basic Safety Training
* Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure,
* Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirement and/or system reliability/capacity.
* Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.
* Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program.
Qualifications:
All interested applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Maintenance program pursing an Associates Degree and have completed at least 15 hours of college credits toward the degree.
You will receive guidance from the local Training Coordinator as well as our full time Maintenance staff. This paid opportunity is to provide the Instrumentation Technology Student with an introduction to Industrial Gas Production, improving their future employability after graduation from the program.
