Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Vehicle Mechanic at its Manalapan, NJ facility.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, the primary responsibilities will be to:
-Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary on trailers and tractors.
-Document/record work performed electronically on the computer.
-Perform road repairs when necessary.
-Perform cryogenic pump maintenance.
-Perform electrical/electronic repairs and installs on tractors and trailers.
-Calibrate pump discharge meters.
-Load trailers.
-Gas and electrical welding experience preferred and fabricating as required.
-Install and repair electronic equipment on tractors.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/equivalent
- 3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience.
- Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills.
- Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety.
- Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechs/drivers/operations personnel.
- Solid work history.
- Ability to drive a tractor.
- Welding knowledge and experience.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits.
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Valid Class A CDL preferred.
